Pixi2D currently imports all images as flat planes of coloured blocks. Using an edge-detecting algorithm, it would be possible to import images with varying thickness to accentuate lines in the image. This could also be coupled with other block shapes to create smoother lines than possible with Pixi2D's square blocks.
